Traction's Young Ad Pros Create an Award for Young Ad Pros

Young Advertising Professional of the Year LogoWith the Oklahoma City Ad Club ADDY® Awards show this weekend, the Academy Awards next weekend, the Grammys a few weeks back, and some lesser, soon forgotten award shows sprinkled in here and there, we find ourselves smack dab in what Hollywood calls "Awards Season." And just like millions of creative people across the world, we find ourselves dreaming the same dream.

No, not to win an award. Anybody can do that. Our dream is to actually create an award. Concoct it. Name it. Logo it. Build it. You know, all the cool stuff. Well, this year, with the Young Advertising Professional of the Yeard Award, we've done just that.

Though it was technically created by the young ad pros from Ad2OKC, the young ad pros who did all the concocting, naming, and logoing call Traction home for 40+ hours a week.

Shawn Graham from 247 GRAPHX is credited with the hardcore buildout of the actual award (from the logo designed by Tractioneer Aaron Dickey).

Just in time to present at this Saturday's ADDYs, here's a look at the first-ever Young Advertising Professional of the Year Award.

Take that, Oscar!

Thanks, Kevin. We didn't actually win the award, though. We could tell you who did, but then we'd have to... well, you know how that goes. The award is being presented at the ADDYs, so check back with us afterwards and we'll let you know who had to pry it out of our hands.

Excellent job!

There's only one thing better than designing the award...and that's winning it back!

Great job, Traction!
